Innovation Through Permutation
Advancing Dry Molded Fiber with Cross-Industrial Partnerships and Injection Molding Machinery
Innovation is about permutation—a mathematical term that describes how combining two or more elements can evaluate their benefits. Our first-generation Dry Molded Fiber machinery is based on permutations from two industries: the highway industry and the metal sheet forming industry. That’s why Modula is an industrial line with a huge press, offering high single-line capacity and flexibility in its individual modules.
Cross-industrial alliances and partnerships are highly beneficial to society
Our next generation of molding machines continues this approach, now incorporating elements from the hygiene and plastic industries, specifically from injection molding machinery. This is why Scala is a compact, plug-and-play machine, ideal for quickly setting up and scaling a converter plant. Both platforms are essential.
Cross-industrial alliances and partnerships are highly beneficial to society. That’s why PulPac operates as a tech hub, leveraging an ecosystem of partnerships rather than functioning solely as a machine producer. We believe in not reinventing the wheel. We have partnered with Huarong, a skilled, midsized, and open-minded injection molding machinery manufacturer from Taiwan.
Huarong has contributed their expertise in the clamping unit, specifically the linked-arm press, while PulPac has provided the know-how in Dry Molded Fiber, particularly in replacing the extruder with a Mill-to-Web fiber unit.
After years of intensive R&D, Scala was the result.
Huarong excels at manufacturing molding machines in high volumes at the right cost, producing over 100,000 injection molding machines annually. Many of these machines are used for single-use plastics that need sustainable alternatives. We hope Scala will benefit our converters and serve as a catalyst for an industrial revolution in the injection molding machinery sector.
“Remember, Dry Molded Fiber is still at the beginning of its learning curve. Scala represents not an end but a new beginning.”
